Who We Are

Expert Show Logistics is a non-asset based freight forwarder that specializes in trade show and special event logistics.  While many freight companies claim they handle show freight, very few offer the expertise required to provide consistently dependable service.  We have years of experience removing the mystique by coordinating every detail down to the minutia. Once we’ve addressed each of the shipment parameters established by our clients, we ensure seamless service by delivering to the right person, at the right time, at the right place, whether around the corner or around the world.

Although trade shows and special events is the world we serve, we are much more than a service provider – we are a resource.  Expert Show Logistics is your turn-key partner providing the most complete and efficient transportation services available. Armed with your shipment details, we’ll consult with you on every available service option, always considering the security of your shipment as well as your bottom-line.

Much of our industry seems content to simply accommodate your single shipment to or from a particular destination.  The long-term partnership we hope to earn means our mission must be to understand and satisfy your unique needs every time you contact us.

“People do not care how much you know until they know how much you care.”

Robert Bickell | CO-Owner

Expert Show Logistics was founded by Robert Bickell in 2018 for one purpose:  to provide trade show and special event clients a higher level of shipping expertise.  The industry is full of shipping companies that offer trade show shipping services, but very few have the level of knowledge required to properly execute the totality of what trade show customers require. Expert Show Logistics is the perfect combination of trade show knowledge and shipping acumen.

Graduating from Penn State University, Robert earned his degree in Business Logistics.  He later earned a Masters of Business Administration from St. Joseph’s University in Philadelphia, PA.

Robert initially worked in the Telecommunications Industry, but found his calling in the Transportation Industry by helping start the Philadelphia office of Concert Group Logistics in 2003.  His inaugural role in the industry began on the ground floor by driving a truck, manning the forklift, packing freight on pallets, loading and unloading trucks, as well as quoting, booking, and tracking shipments.

In 2010, with 7 years of experience and business advancement, he was offered a position as Vice-President of Operations for a trade show shipping firm.  There he developed innovative routing models, load maximizing methods, and leading-edge shipment tracking processes.  He attended multiple trade shows every year, supervising move-outs and handling exhibitor issues directly from the show floor.

In his 26 years in business, he has served as Terminal Manager, Vice-President of Operations, and Senior Vice-President of various organizations, with experience in domestic freight, international freight, multi-modal freight, air freight, and of course trade show freight.

Robert’s diverse experience in both the Trade Show Industry as well as his concentrated experience in the Transportation Industry uniquely positions Expert Show Logistics to offer customers the most comprehensive service led by a team staffed with the most qualified, specialized industry professionals in the greater Philadelphia area.

Robert lives in suburban Philadelphia with his wife and two daughters, and enjoys reading historical fiction and playing golf in his spare time.
